Olympic Peninsula Sights

Ruby Beach

Ruby Beach Review

Ruby Beach, named for the rosy fragments of garnet that color its sands, is one of the peninsula's most beautiful stretches of coastline. A short trail leads to the wave-beaten sands, where sea stacks, caves, tidal pools, and bony driftwood make it a favorite place for beachcombers, artists, and photographers. It's 15 mi south of Forks, off U.S. 101.
