This white three-story Victorian, built in 1889, occupies a prime position on the bluff overlooking Port Townsend's waterfront. Cozy top-floor rooms beneath the eaves have wonderful views but small baths. The second floor has spacious rooms and the splendid Bridal Suite. On the ground floor are two more spacious suites, and behind the house is the original Gardener's Cottage. Rooms have dark cherry, oak, or wicker furnishings, colorful rugs, and plush armchairs. Breakfasts are served in the formal dining room, as are fresh-baked cookies and complimentary sherry in the evening. The adjacent Bungalow on a Bluff, a contemporary-style, free-standing home, has a wood-burning fireplace, Jacuzzi, and sweeping bay views. Pros: Ocean views, 19th-century elegance. Cons: Some minor creaks, squeaks, cracks, and drafts.
