Boatyard workers and beer enthusiasts congregate at this casual and cozy Boat Haven brewery to enjoy a pint and bowl of peanuts (and not worry about dropping the spent shells on the floor). There's an outdoor beer garden during warmer months. Proprietors Kim and Guy Sands opened the brewery in 1997 with only two beers. About 10 are on now the menu, including the award-winning Boatyard Bitter, Port Townsend Pale Ale, and Hop Diggidy, a classic Northwest-style IPA. The brewery closes early evening, so nightlife-seekers might want to make this one of their first stops.
