Fodor's Review:

North Head Lighthouse was built in 1899 to help skippers sailing from the north who couldn't see the Cape Disappointment Lighthouse. Stand high on a bluff above the pounding surf here, amid the windswept trees, for superb views of the Long Beach Peninsula. Lodging is available in the Lighthouse Keepers' Residence.

  • Cost: $2.50
  • Open: Apr.-Sept., daily 10-5; Oct.-Mar., 11-3, weekends only, hrs subject to volunteer availability
