The Waterfront Streetcar line of 1920s-era trolleys from Melbourne, Australia, runs 1 mi south along Alaska Way from Pier 70, past the Washington State Ferries terminal at Piers 50 and 52, turning inland on Main Street, and passing through Pioneer Square before ending on South Jackson Street in the International District. It runs at about 20-minute intervals daily from 7 AM to 9 or 10 PM (less often and for fewer hours in winter). The fare is $1.25 from 9 to 3 and after 6, $1.50 during peak commuting hours. The stations and streetcars are wheelchair accessible.
