Dinette

Dinette Review

Dinette's main claim to fame is fancy toast, which is served up with anything from radishes and egg salad to smoked salmon with herbed mascarpone or rapini pesto with salami. Larger dishes include clams with chorizo, Alaskan halibut with tomato-fennel broth, gnocchi, and daily seafood specials. A focus on seasonal ingredients means that the menu offerings change regularly but they're often mouthwatering. The space, on the western edge of Capitol Hill, just up from South Lake Union, couldn't be cozier. Dimly lighted but not dark and brooding, Dinette is all soft blues and creams and gold-foil details. Hip couples fill the space on weekends before heading out to nearby clubs.
