Renaissance Seattle Hotel Review

A bit of a walk uphill from Downtown, this high-rise has a calm feel to it, with contemporary decor and inviting common areas. The views from rooms above the 10th floor make it almost worth the proximity to the freeway, and rooms above the 20th floor have exceptional views of Downtown, Elliott Bay, and the mountains can be enjoyed from rooms above the 20th floor. Traffic noise can be present throughout, so request a room on the west side for a quieter stay.

    nice, newly renovated rooms

I spent one night here and very much enjoyed it. Due to my silver level Mariott rewards status, the hotel upgraded us from a standard room to a mini-suite, which was very spacious and very nice. The hotel is fairly large and has sort of a business convention feel to it, so that's wny I only gave 3 stars for atmosphere. But our room was very nice, and I would definitely stay there again. Many shops and restaurants are in walking distance; Pike Place Market is probably too far to walk, but just a short car ride away.
