Central Cinema

Fodor's Review:

If you're tired of 40-ounce Cokes and $10 popcorn with neon-color butter and wish that moviegoing could be a little more dignified, check out Central Cinema. The first few rows of this charming, friendly little theater consist of diner-style booths -- before the movie starts a waiter takes orders for delicious pizzas, salads, and snacks (including real popcorn with inventive toppings like curry or dill); your food is delivered unobtrusively during the first few minutes of the movie. Wash it down with a normal-size soda, a cup of coffee, or better yet a glass of wine or beer. You won't find first-run films here, but the theater shows a great mix of favorites (Hairspray and E.T.) and local indie and experimental films.
