Directly across Juanita Bay from peaceful wetlands, this beach hops: children playing in the sand, sunbathers on the dock, swimmers in the closed-in swimming area, and picnickers in the park. There are grills, picnic tables, phones, restrooms, drinking water, and a snack bar (seasonal). The beach has had problems with pollution in recent years, but a multiyear plan by the city of Kirkland is underway to revitalize the park and address the most pressing water-pollution problems.
