Greenlake Guesthouse Review

Outdoorsy types, visitors who want to stay in a low-key residential area, and anyone who wants to feel pampered and refreshed will enjoy this charming B&B. The house is directly across the street from the eastern shore of beautiful Green Lake; it's a short walk from several restaurants and the devilishly good Chocolati. The romantic Parkview Suite is the pièce de résistance, with a full view of the park, and pale green walls that play off the green of the leaves just outside the windows. All rooms have private baths with jetted tubs (except the Ballard room), fluffy robes, and heated tile floors. A public computer with Internet is available in the living room; a communal minibar in the hall has sodas, water, fresh fruit, cookies, and other snacks; and bookshelves in the upstairs hallway have an extensive DVD collection of Oscar-winning movies. To keep things interesting, the full breakfast alternates between made-to-order savory (a spinach-and-feta omelet, for example) and sweet (such as Brie-and-apple French toast).
