$$-$$$, Pacific Northwest, Greenwood
Fodor's Review:
Stubbornly cranking out delicious regional fare for years, the Stumbling Goat sure knows its way around a farmers' market -- you'll find the freshest organic ingredients here (from local producers, of course) and no missteps in the presentation, which is kept simple to let those fresh flavors shine. The menu changes quite frequently, but you'll find hearty dishes like risottos made with seasonal vegetables, mini-Waygu beef burgers, and in-season fish served with greens and potatoes. Though it's a bit spendy for this neck of the woods, the Stumbling Goat definitely belongs in Greenwood. The place has enough quirks -- from its name (surely an ode to the excellent wine and cheese offerings) to the red walls and velvet accents in its dining room to its peach-hue happy-hour den campily named the Enchantress Lounge -- to be thought of as a neighborhood bistro first and a gourmet experience second.
