Six Seven

Fodor's Review:

Like the hotel that houses it, Six Seven would be noteworthy for its views alone -- Elliott Bay and the Puget Sound are laid out before you, especially if you opt to dine at the café tables lining the deck (note that it can get windy out there). But it's not just sparkling blue water that brings people in for pricey Asian-influenced seafood and chops. The dining room is done in the same country-cabin chic as the hotel, complete with natural-stone fireplaces and fake trees the likes of which you've never seen (the restaurant's central columns are wrapped in bark and have branches sticking out of them). The quality of the food is pretty consistent, and if you want views and seafood in a settling that's a little more elegant and serene than Anthony's Pier 66 or Ray's Boathouse in Ballard, this is a good place to splurge. Lunch is a good deal and you won't lose that view to the setting sun. If you're not a big spender, the restaurant also has a comfortable bar area with its own "snack" menu (roasted prawns, calamari, crab cakes, Waygu hamburgers, and the like) and well-poured specialty drinks that really pack a wallop. Though you won't necessarily be right up against the glass, you'll be able to see the water from the bar.
