Seattle Nightlife

Brouwer's

Brouwer's Review

It may look like a trendy Gothic castle, but in fact this is heaven for Belgian-beer lovers. A converted warehouse provides an ample venue for a top selection of suds, which are provided by the owners of Seattle's best specialty-beer shop, Bottleworks. Brouwer's serves plenty of German and American beers, too, as well as English, Czech, and Polish selections. A menu of surprisingly good sandwiches, frites, and Belgian specialties help to lay a pre-imbibing foundation (remember that most Belgian beers have a higher alcohol content). Before settling on a seat downstairs, check out the balcony and the cozy parlor room.
