Shiro's

Fodor's Review:

Shiro Kashiba is the most famous sushi chef in Seattle; he's been in town for going on 40 years and he still takes the time to helm the sushi bar at his popular restaurant. If you get a seat in front of Shiro, don't be shy—this is one place where ordering omakase (chef's choice) is almost a must. Willfully unconcerned with atmosphere, this simple spot is a real curiosity amid Belltown's chic establishments, though it does seem to be charging Belltown prices for simpler pleasures like teriyaki and tempura dinners. Be forewarned that the place has a reputation for spotty table service.
