Book NowHotel Vintage Park Review
Wine aficionados will be particularly taken with the Hotel Vintage Park, a charming boutique hotel, wonderfully situated near Downtown shopping, theaters, and the Convention Center. The Vintage Park's devotion to the Washington wine scene is as strong as ever. In addition to holding nightly receptions in the lobby where winemakers are often present to discuss their products, the hotel can set up almost any wine-theme vacation you want. Each guest room is named for a Washington winery, has photographs and artwork donated by the winemakers, and features a color palette that includes all the hues you might encounter while walking among the vines. The best views offered here are of the Rem Koolhaas-designed public library. This is a smaller property with fewer facilities than some of the other nearby properties—the lobby's only interesting when the reception is in full swing. However, it's an updated place that's not another mid-century modern clone, which makes it a good choice for anyone looking for comfort, quiet, and coziness versus the latest trends and gadgets.

We would definitely stay at this hotel again and will recommend it to everyone. Our room was fantastic. When we checked in I had made a lot of requests re the room (e.g., large room, top floor, away from elevator, king bed, etc.) The only thing that was not accommodated was away from the elevator. However, while we were unpacking we noticed a wet spot on the carpet outside the bathroom. On our way out to explore the city we mentioned this at the Front Desk and they said they would check it out. When we returned we were informed that the water problem could not be remedied. Would we like to change rooms? I inquired re the new room being as large as the one we had, and she informed us that they would upgrade us to an even bigger room due to the inconvenience. Within half an hour we were settled in the new room. It was wonderful - absolutely no complaints.
When we returned from dinner that night (Tulio's in the Hotel is excellent! For both dinner and breakfast. Try the waffle!)there was a plate with grapes, two bottles of water and a nice card, welcoming us back! (We are Kimpton members.)
The wireless internet connection was flawless. (I was attending a Conference here.) I had absolutely no problems at all with the connection.
The nightly wine tastings were very interesting, since that was one of the draws for us. Washington wine, meeting new people and relaxing between 5 and 6 p.m. was wonderful.
All of the staff were polite, professional and inviting. No problem was too hard to solve. Questions never an imposition. We especially enjoyed talking with Francesca, the "Grape Goddess", who hosted the evening wine tastings.
So, don't let the one negative comment influence your decision to stay at this hotel. We would return and definitely stay here again. We will remember Seattle fondly thanks to our wonderful stay at the Hotel Vintage Park!
