Kobo at Higo Review

Housed in what used to be a 75-year-old five-and-dime store, this distinctive gallery has fine ceramics, textiles, and exquisite crafts by Japanese and Northwest artists; you can also see artifacts from the old store. Items range from something as simple as incense from Kyoto to an enormous, painted antique chest.

    Kobo at Higo Review

Kobo is a great secret spot in Seattle, brimming with Asian treasures both modern and vintage. In fact, the entire block of Nihonmachi (Japantown) is a gem in the jewel box of the International District, including neighbors Momo (French clothing and Asian collectables) and Kaname Japanese 'mama food' home cooking. Around the corner, don't miss the Cullom Gallery with Japanese wood block prints, the Panama Hotel and of course, 100+ year old Maneki restaurant.
