Salumi Cured Meats

Salumi Cured Meats Review

The chef-owner Armandino Batali (father of famed New York chef Mario Batali) makes superior cured meats for this miniature lunch spot run by his daughter, who serves up hearty, unforgettable sandwiches filled with all sorts of goodies. Order a salami, bresaola, porchetta, meatball, oxtail, sausage, or lamb prosciutto sandwich with onions, peppers, cheese, and olive oil. Most people do opt for takeout, though; be prepared for a long line, which most likely will be stretching well beyond the front door. Note that Salumi is open only Tuesday-Friday from 11 am to 4 pm.

This is one example where a place truly is worth the hype! Friendly family run "mom and pop" place filled with locals and a line out the door. The quality of the food is outstanding - a true value. It is so good!
