The kind chef-owner Armandino Batali (father of famed New York chef Mario Batali) doles out samples of his fabulous house-cured meats while you wait for a table (which you must be willing to share) at this postage-stamp of a place. Order a meatball, oxtail, sausage, or lamb sandwich. The house wine served at lunch is strong, inexpensive, and good. Most people do opt for takeout, though, the line for which goes out the door. Note that Salumi is only open from 11 to 4.

This is one example where a place truly is worth the hype! Friendly family run "mom and pop" place filled with locals and a line out the door. The quality of the food is outstanding - a true value. It is so good!
