A festive taste of Brazil, Tempero serves up satisfying cod, prawn, and halibut dishes simmered in coconut-based sauces; entrées arrive with moist, chewy, long-grain rice and black beans. For a larger meal, try bife grelhado (charbroiled Argentine steak). Finish with cold passion-fruit mousse or tangy guava paste served with farmer's cheese, and strong dark coffee. The outstanding food, attention to detail, and earnest staff make dining here a pleasure. The airy patio is perfect for icy Brazilian cocktails in summer. Note that this is at the north end of The Ave; it's a long walk from the campus.
