The Herbfarm Review

You might consider fasting before dining at the Herbfarm. It's prix-fixe only and you'll get nine courses—dinner takes at least four hours and includes six fine wines (you might also want to arrange for transportation there and back). The dining room itself is reminiscent of a country estate, but before you tuck in, you'll be treated to a delightful tour of the herb garden. The set menus change roughly every other week, with clever themes like the 100-mile dinner where even the salt is harvested from local waters (if you have dietary restrictions, it's essential to call ahead). With all products coming from the restaurant's farm (including heritage pigs), or from other regional growers and suppliers, you can expect uber-fresh ingredients, including rarities like Ozette potatoes and Roy's Calais flint corn. Book a room at elegant Willows Lodge to make a true getaway of it.

    A gustatory odyssey!

A superb dinner, to begin with, but you can get those in other places. But here you are treated to an imaginative trip in fine dining. Don't plan on driving home afterwards - you won't feel like it. We stayed at Willows Inn in the same complex and were pampered there, too.
