Coastal Kitchen

Fodor's Review:

Local restaurant gurus Jeremy Hardy and Peter Levy hit on a surefire formula with their hearty seafood meals prepared according to a rotating menu that highlights the cuisines of such far-flung coastal places as Oaxaca, Vietnam, and Barcelona, to name just a few. The focus changes quarterly, and experiments don't always work, but you can't knock their adventurous spirit. Besides, you always have the option to forgo the specials and order perfectly prepared fish fillets—lightly seasoned and either grilled or pan-seared—and there are never complaints about the roast chicken with creamy mashed potatoes or the marinated pork chop. Nice enough for a date but laid-back enough to bring the kids, Coastal Kitchen has many loyal regulars and it anchors the 15th Avenue strip.
