Fodor's Review:

No place in Seattle serves better Dungeness crab or oysters than Elliott's, which has gotten the presentation of fresh seafood down to a fine art. You can't go wrong with the local rockfish or salmon. The dining room is bright, and there's a great view of Elliott Bay and of the harbor tour boats next door. On sunny days the place is packed with diners from all over the country who have come to learn what Seattle is all about. That said, the crowd is usually split fifty-fifty between tourists and locals, as Seattleites still fully embrace this place, especially the raw-bar happy hour.

As Sydney-siders, we're used to great sea food. We were very disappointed with the offerings from a lot of other Seattle seafood restaurants - fried, greasy and tired which is pretty poor considering the superbly fresh quality available.
Elliott's was right on the mark - beautifully fresh, great choice and excellent presentation in a lovely setting (we were on the deck). The oysters were pure bliss, as was the Dungeness crab stack.
Our waiter was very knowledgeable; she recommended a great micro brew and an excellent Oregon pinot to go with our planked salmon.
Elliott's will be first on the list of must-do's when we're next in town.

We went there last weekend and had a blast. We ordered 2 dozen oysters and several beers. The price was great. The service was wierd. The waiter was a whack job but warmed up to us. Go during off hours to eliminate hassles.

Good luck. Go get shucked!
