Fodor's Review

Named for Route Nationale 74 through Burgundy, celebrity chef Michael Mina's Seattle restaurant is, not surprisingly, wine-centric, with a train-station-style reader board in the dining room listing which bottles are about to sell out. Sommeliers and attentive servers will help you match your wine with luxe modern spins on French cuisine, some incorporating seasonal Northwest ingredients. That might mean a delicate pea soup with poached shrimp, coq au vin made with a locally farmed chicken, or tempura-fried maitake mushrooms. Desserts are particularly creative—and also nicely paired with port. Stop in at lunch for some of the same menu items (plus salmon BLTs and a bistro burger) at easier-on-the-wallet prices.
