Fodor's Review

This long dining room facing Lake Union has original Northwest Indian artwork collected by the restaurant's namesake founder. It's touristy, often gimmicky, and always packed, but it's also great Seattle fun—a real institution, in a building designed as a loose replica of a traditional longhouse. Plus the views of Lake Union and Downtown are terrific. Try to snag a table on the deck. It's all about the Sunday brunch buffet here, though you generally can't go wrong with any salmon dish for lunch or dinner. The other Ivar's locations in town are uninspiring; this one comes the closest to living up to the hype.
