Fodor's Review

This sleek eatery—complete with loads of trendy young couples perched at its tables—"pays homage to MFK Fisher and her philosophy of taking simple ingredients and transforming them into culinary splendor." As you would expect then, fresh, artisanal ingredients are the focus. Starters run the gamut from cured-meat platters, to roasted almonds, pork terrine, chicken-liver mousse, and arugula salad, while tasty mains focus on simple handmade pastas—orecchiette with sausage, garlic and ricotta. Fresh skate with brown butter and capers or quail with saffron aioli are examples of the rustic-chic Italian-inspired dishes chef Ethan Stowell has perfected in his various eateries around town. This restaurant is worth the trip even if you're far from Queen Anne.
