Hotels Overview

Most of Seattle's hotels are Downtown, but there are good deals to be had in the outlying neighborhoods, and some places will transport you to and from Downtown for free. Both of the Marriotts at Lake Union, for example, offer a shuttle to the Pike Place Market, Westlake Center, the Space Needle, and Pier 70. Bed-and-breakfasts on Capitol Hill are a manageable walk from Downtown and are near boutiques, restaurants, bars, and movie theaters. Less expensive but still tasteful lodging options (rates often include parking) are available in the University District, which is well served by the city's buses and which has affordable restaurants, trendy shops, and lots of pubs. Both Belltown and Queen Anne attract a wealthier, more staid clientele.
