The men's NBA season runs from November to April. The Seattle SuperSonics (Seattle Center, 1st Ave. N and Mercer St., Queen Anne. 206/283-3865; 800/462-2849 NBA. www.nba.com/sonics), known simply as the Sonics, play at Key Arena. Tickets range from $10 to $200 for courtside seating. You can buy tickets online, at the box office, or by calling the NBA toll-free number.

The WNBA Seattle Storm (www.wnba.com/storm) has its season from mid-June to August and also plays at the Key Arena. Tickets cost $10-$47.

The UW Huskies (3870 Montlake Blvd. NE, University District. 206/543-2200. gohuskies.cstv.com) represent Seattle basketball in the Pac-10 Conference. The team has had less than its share of success. The tough women's team -- which enjoys a very loyal (and loud) fan base -- has, however, advanced to the NCAA tournament several times in recent years. Bank of America Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion, known locally as "Hec Ed," is where the UW's men's and women's basketball teams play. Tickets are $6-$20.
