Amtrak has service within Washington and to Canada, Oregon, California, and the East. Sounder Trains (commuters) leave Tacoma between 5 am and 7:20 am, as well as at 4:45 pm with stops in Puyallup, Sumner, Auburn, Kent, and Tukwila on the way to Seattle. Southbound trains leave Seattle for the reverse route between 3:35 and 5:55 pm. Cost is $4.75 one-way, $9.50 roundtrip.
