Coming here is like walking into an elegant yet comfortable Italian kitchen, where every space beneath the high, peaked ceiling glows with warm country colors and muted light. Small tables, set with gleaming glass and white linens, are set along polished-wood floors and tucked in near exposed-brick walls. The menu is an induction to the Italian dining experience, with such entrées as anitra della casa (pan-seared duck breast on herb polenta) and vitello del capitano (veal medallions in a Madeira wine sauce). Come Monday for half-price bottled wines, and look for seasonal wine-tasting dinners following specific regions of Italy.
