Gaylord House

Fodor's Review:

Down a lane lined by shady maples, this Craftsman welcomes visitors to relax in the creaky rockers on its wide front porch. Themed guest rooms, filled with antiques and original art, include the Sunrise Mediterranean room; the nautical Commodore's Quarters; and the Victorian-style Lady Anne's Chamber. An exquisite breakfast is included, there's a bottomless cookie jar, and you can book ahead for equally exquisite high teas or dinners, when the table is set with fine china, sterling silver, and crystal. Pros: Well-stocked library, host piano concerts. Cons: Not a lot of elbow room.
