Bainbridge Island

The 35-minute ferry ride to Bainbridge Island from downtown Seattle provides superb views of the city skyline and surrounding mountains. The inexpensive ferry trip is a classic Northwest experience, and Bainbridge's small-town vibe and scenic countryside are simply charming. From the ferry terminal, you can walk to Winslow and wander around its clutch of small antiques shops, art galleries, bookstores, and cafés. Visitors are free to use the yellow bicycles around the ferry dock.
