Bloedel Donovan Park

Bloedel Donovan Park Review

The only public access in Bellingham to 14-mile-long Lake Whatcom is at its north end, in Bloedel Donovan Park. Locals swim in the sheltered waters of a cove, but you might find the water too cold. If so, spend some time trying to spot beavers, river otters, ducks, great blue herons, and yellow pond lilies at Scudder Pond, which is another 100 feet west (reached by trail from a parking area at Northshore and Alabama).
