Fodor's Review:

Hovander Homestead Park, a pioneer farm, is now a national historic site with a Victorian-era farmhouse, barnyard animals, a water tower, vegetable gardens, and antique farm equipment. Surrounding it are 60 acres of walking trails and picnic grounds, and there's access to fishing in the Nooksack River.

  • Open: Park daily dawn-dusk; Hovander House weekends 1-4:30 in May, Thurs.-Sun. noon-4:30 June-Labor Day
