Fidalgo Island
The Deception Pass Bridge links Whidbey to Fidalgo (fee-dal-go) Island. From the bridge it's just a short drive to Anacortes, Fidalgo's main town and the terminus for ferries to the San Juan Islands. Anacortes has some well-preserved brick buildings along the waterfront, several well-maintained old commercial edifices downtown, and many beautiful older homes off the main drag.
