Getting Here

Adams Morgan has two Metro stops that are a pleasant 10-minute walk away. From the Woodley Park–Zoo/Adams Morgan Metro station, take a short walk south on Connecticut, then turn left on Calvert Street, and cross over Rock Creek Park on the Duke Ellington Bridge. If you get off at the Dupont Circle Metro stop, walk east, turning left on 18th Street.

The heart of Adams Morgan is at the intersection of Columbia Road and 18th Street. Don't even dream about finding parking here on weekend evenings.

If you are taking the Metro, make sure to check the DC Metro website (wmata.com) to confirm the weekend hours. You can also get there quickly by cab or rideshare.

Several buses such as the 90, 96, 42, 43 also take you to Adams Morgan.

Planning Your Time

Start your day with a walk around the neighborhood. After the few sights, be sure to stop in at the Line Hotel for a coffee at Café Spoken or cheesy pupusas (flatbreads) at El Tamarindo. Keep moving on to 18th Street for some window-shopping, cocktails, small plates, and live music. Dance the night away at the various clubs and bars, then grab some late-night pizza or empanadas.
