This manicured 2,900-acre resort on the James River owned by Anheuser-Busch is home to the largest golf resort in Virginia: it hosts the LPGA's Michelob ULTRA Open each May. You can play year-round on three championship courses, including the River Course, renovated in 2005. The 9-hole course is free if you stay here, and so is a shuttle bus to Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, and Colonial Williamsburg. The guest rooms have fireplaces and Colonial-style furniture. The inventive menu at the expensive Bray Bistro emphasizes seafood. Of note are the brunch and evening Chesapeake Seafood Buffet on Sundays.
