Fodor's Review

The Cousteau Society operates a compact gallery displaying underwater photos, models of the research vessels Calypso and Alcyone, and diving equipment from the past and present. Artifacts from famed explorer-environmentalist Jacques-Yves Cousteau's expeditions are displayed, such as a pair of minisubs, one fully equipped and one reduced to its pressure sphere; a recompression chamber from the 1950s; and a clear plastic shark cage, along with the diver's journal describing his eye-to-eye experiences. Cousteau films from various expeditions run continuously. Free parking is available at the parking garage next door.
