Le Yaca
Le Yaca Review
A mall of small boutiques is the unlikely location for this French-country restaurant. The dining room has soft pastel colors, hardwood floors, candlelight, and a central open fireplace. The menu is arranged in the French manner, with four prix-fixe menus and 10 entrées, including whole duck breast with peach and pepper sauce, leg of lamb with rosemary garlic sauce, bouillabaisse, and fresh scallops and shrimp with champagne sauce. Le Yaca is on U.S. 60 East, near Busch Gardens.

Every year I have been dining at Le Yaca for various special occasions; Valentine’s Day, Anniversaries, etc…The prices have gone up and the portions are smaller, but I still LOVE the restaurant and the food is always incredible. It's cozy and romantic and having 2-3 hours to take your time and eat many small portions always leaves me to thoroughly enjoy my meals (if served fast, I can't eat much; I’m really thin). Over the past 10 years I’ve dined here, I have never had a bad food experience. I definitely recommend this restaurant for any type of foody to try at least once!

We live in Williamsburg, and going to this restaurant is always a celebratory event. The staff, service and food are just wonderful, and never fail to provide a truly delicious dinner. We've been back several times over the years, and the entire evening always makes for amazing memories. From soup to dessert it is beyond compare.

We have loved Le Yaca for years. The food, the ambience, the service has always been outstanding. We would never think of anywhere elese to go for our special occasions up till now. On Friday, my husband's 60th birthday, we were so looking forward to going to Le Yaca. However, we knew everything had changed there from the welcome by the Hostess which did not occur, to our waitress who spoke poor English and never made sure that we were enjoying anything, to the food which was laskluster to be kind. The escargot was so overwhelming with the taste of garlic and oil that it was very difficult to eat. The house salad's dressing was strong enough to make one not willing to eat it. One entree medallions of veal tenderloin was tough with a sauce that lacked taste. The symphony of desserts was not enjoyable. My husband had chosen the gourmet meal which consisted of tomato soup equal to Campbell's. A seafood trio that was one scallop, a tiny piece of lobster (and I mean tiny) and a small mound of crabmeat. It was equal to an appetizer. The grand marnier souffle lacked taste. It was a very unpleasant evening from the beginning to the end. We will not go back.
