Tall white columns front this Colonial-style motel. Four rooms are accessed via stairs off the spacious lobby, which has Oriental carpets; others have parking at the front door, and some have canopy beds. Refrigerators and microwaves are available for a fee. The property has a 2½-acre lake and lovely gardens. Newspapers and local phone calls are free, and a full, hot breakfast is included. This is a classic mid-century motel and good value for the money. Ask for a room that has been updated—not all have. Pros: the availability of refrigerators and microwaves make it a good value for families. Cons: a basic room without the frills.

Our stay at this hotel was torture. We encountered "other guests" in our hotel room. How about some roaches and spiders? We killed roaches two while the other one ran into the unknown cracks and crevices of the room. My husband told the front desk about the roaches, but she made an excuse for them! She asked if the roaches were big or small? DOES IT MATTER? You shouldn't have insects in your hotel. Thank God we stayed there for one night. The bathroom was filthy, too. That's where we found the spider. The hotel comes with free continental breakfast which was horrible. Thank goodness they had bananas. That's the only thing we could eat. The other food had a "freezer" taste. If you know what I mean. It was just such a horrible experience. ![]()
