War Hill Inn Review
This inn was designed by a Colonial Williamsburg architect to resemble a period structure: the two-story redbrick building at the center has a wood-frame wing. Appropriate antiques and reproductions decorate the interior. The War Hill is inside a 32-acre operating cattle farm, 4 mi from the Colonial Williamsburg information center. Those in search of privacy may want one of the cottages or the first-floor suite (other rooms open onto a common hallway).

You simply can't find a more charming place to stay. Will is such a gracious host and very helpful. The Inn is clean, comfortable, and very inviting. So close to the attractions and yet a world away. Breakfast is delicious. My wife and I have stayed here many times and the Inn is as much a destination as the historic city or Busch Gardens.
Only minor negatives might be that the cows can be noisy in the morning and not all windows have shades so you might not be able to sleep in - but then you would probably miss breakfast anyways!
Bottom line - you won't be disappointed.
