This sparkling white, modern hotel is well situated, midway between Norfolk and the beach, and 15 mi from Norfolk International Airport. The skylighted lobby overlooks a glassed-in indoor pool. Rooms have a sitting area with a desk; there are plush duvets and extra pillows on the beds. Every room has a hair dryer, iron, ironing board, and coffeemaker. The centerpiece of the tropical decor is a five-story atrium. Pros: reasonable rates in a well-maintained older property. Cons: hotel is 8 mi from the beach and 15 mi from Norfolk.
