Hawthorn Hotel & Suites at the Governor Dinwiddie

Fodor's Review:

The 1940s Governor Dinwiddie hotel in the center of Portsmouth's Olde Towne business district was beautifully restored in 2005. Guest rooms are furnished in reproduction Queen Anne with satin quilted spreads, ecru walls, and moss woodwork. Cons: although it's only 3 mi from the center of Norfolk, it's a little far to compete with hotels in that city.

  • Hotel Details: 45 rooms, 15 suites
  • In-room: refrigerator, Internet, Wi-Fi.
  • In-hotel: restaurant, bar, gym, laundry service.
  • Credit Cards: AE, MC, V
