Fodor's Review

Housed in a Tudor Revival mansion on Monument Avenue designed by John Russell Pope, this museum features rotating exhibitions and a learning center on a self-guided tour. One of the permanent exhibits, "The House that Pope Built," is a tribute to the architect of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial and Richmond's Union Station, which now houses the Science Museum. Touring exhibitions range from American classicism to iconic furniture design.
