Berkeley Hotel Review
Although built in the style of the century-old warehouses and buildings that surround it, this boutique hotel dates from 1988. The majority of rooms are large junior suites with traditional furnishings and modern amenities including flat-screens, and many have balconies with panoramic urban views over historic Shockoe Slip area. Service is personal and friendly, and shops and restaurants are just steps from the front door. The restaurant offers boxed breakfast and lunch to go, as well as full service dining. Guests staying here get free entry to the YMCA health and fitness facilities at the James Center across the street.
