Jefferson Hotel Review

A 70-foot-high ceiling with a stained-glass skylight and 10 of the original Louis Comfort Tiffany stained-glass windows, rich tapestries, and replicas of traditional Victorian furniture make this the most elegant hotel in Richmond. The Palm Court Lobby is home to Edward Valentine's full-size statue of the president and to a magnificent sweeping staircase reminiscent of the one in Gone With the Wind. The rooms are done in a total of 57 different styles, and the 1,550-square-foot Presidential Suite has its own private balcony. Since the hotel is older, the rooms are somewhat small, but exquisitely appointed with period furnishings and top-of-the-line amenities including plush robes and flat-screen televisions.
