Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden Review
You'll find year-round beauty on this historic property with more than 40 acres of spectacular gardens, dining, and shopping. The classical domed conservatory is the only one of its kind in the Mid-Atlantic, and houses ever-changing displays, tropical plants, and more than 200 orchids in bloom. The rose garden features 80 varieties, with more than 1,800 roses, and a pavilion for special events including wine tastings and evening jazz concerts. A Children's Garden offers a wheelchair-accessible tree house—fun for kids and adults—an Adventure Pathway, sand- and water-play areas, as well as an international village. More than a dozen theme gardens include a Healing Garden, Sunken Garden, Asian Valley, and Victorian Garden. The marvelous display of Christmas lights has become a Richmond tradition. Dining options include the Garden Café and the Tea House, and the shop offers an interesting selection of attractive gifts.
