Vegetarian dishes, healthful foods, and homemade soups and breads share the menu with hamburgers, oyster and crab-cake sandwiches, and dinner platters at this unpretentious place. Eclectic vegetarian and vegan offerings from tzatziki and tabbouleh to black-bean cakes and veggie chili make this the go-to place for noncarnivores, but it's the list of more than 20 sandwiches and wraps that makes Sammy T's a hot spot for the in-town lunch crowd. The bar is stocked with nearly 50 brands of beer. There's a separate no-smoking section around the corner, but a tin ceiling, high wooden booths, and wooden ceiling fans make the main dining room much chummier.
