In the heart of the downtown shopping district, you'll have to look down to find this cozy basement eatery, but it's worth the search. A "farm-to-table restaurant," Poppy Hill's regionally sourced produce changes seasonally. Warm earth tones infuse the space and rustic Tuscan favorites include hearty soups and salads, seafood stew, prosciutto-wrapped tilapia, and balsamic glazed chicken. The antipasto platter, a mountain of artisanal cheeses, crostini, olives, and charcuterie,
is big enough to share with four. A nice list of chianti, sangiovese, and other Italian wine favorites, both white and red, complements the menu. It is open for brunch on Sunday.
