Fodor's Review

This stunningly attractive Italianate villa dates from the 1850s; it was the residence of General "Black Jack" Pershing during World War I. Inside are large formal rooms with crown moldings, French windows, 14-foot ceilings, mosaic parquet floors, and European and American artworks. The rooms and suite are furnished with antique furniture, claw-foot tubs, brass and iron beds, and paintings and engravings. It's a short walk from downtown and the historic district.
