Fodor's Review

In the heart of the historic district, this beautiful, fired-brick Queen Anne mansion, which dates from 1891, was built by wealthy local merchant J.A. Gill. Opened in late 2004, the public areas and rooms—all named after people or places that influenced Petersburg's history—are charmingly classical, and the intricacy of the woodwork on the king-size bed in the BollingBrook Room has to be seen to be believed.
