Lee-Fendall House Museum and Garden
Lee-Fendall House Museum and Garden Review
Built in 1787 at historic Lee Corner, the Lee-Fendall House was, over the course of the next 118 years, home to 37 members of the Lee family and also served as a Union hospital. The house and its furnishings, of the 1850–70 period, present an intimate study of 19th-century family life. Highlights include a splendid collection of Lee heirlooms, period pieces produced by Alexandria manufacturers, and the beautifully restored, award-winning garden, which can be visited without buying a ticket for the museum.
