Lee-Fendall House

Lee-Fendall House Review

At historic Lee Corner at North Washington and Oronoco streets, the Lee-Fendall House was built in 1785; over the course of the next 118 years it was home to 37 members of the Lee family and served as a Union hospital. The house and its furnishings, of the 1850-70 period, present an intimate study of 19th-century family life. Highlights include a splendid collection of Lee heirlooms, period pieces produced by Alexandria manufacturers, and the beautifully restored, award-winning garden.
